Boobs: My Unapologetic Journey to Self-Discovery
Hey, I’m Tanu — just your average 28-year-old embracing chaos, carving my path, and discovering strength in vulnerability. Join me on this wild ride!

Hey, I’m Tanu. My last name? Yeah, I don’t usually share it. Growing up, teachers butchered it, and classmates turned it into a running joke. It got old fast. Back then, being Asian wasn’t exactly a badge of honour where I lived — especially in the early 2000s and 2010s. Things have changed. At least now people pretend to appreciate diversity, right? I’m currently based in the U.S., where everything feels like it’s teetering on the edge — thanks to skyrocketing living costs and, well, the usual chaos. But honestly? It could be worse. I try to remind myself to count my blessings, show some gratitude, and not stress over things I can’t control. As for me, there’s not a ton to brag about — just your average 28-year-old figuring things out.
I have a degree in Ancient History (yeah, not the most practical choice, I know). I also started a master’s in Human Resource Management, and guess what? It was free. But COVID hit, the vibe tanked, and I bailed. No regrets. Life’s too short for anything that doesn’t feel right. So, unlike a lot of folks who went to university and never touched their degrees again, I’m putting mine to use.

I’ve built a career in recruitment — no way I’m letting that £65k in student loans (that I didn’t have to begin with) go to waste! But honestly, the dream? Cutting the grind down to three days a week so I can freelance for the other two. Here’s the thing, though: freelancing full-time? Not really my vibe. I know myself too well — I’d spiral into an anxious mess worrying about money. Having a steady paycheck keeps me sane. Plus, freelancing isn’t what it used to be. Feels like everyone is doing it now, and the market is way too crowded for my taste. Right now, I’m working on a little side hustle — a $5 e-book on making money on Medium, specifically for beginners. It’s packed with tips on setting up your profile, personal advice, and what to expect on the platform. If all goes well (fingers crossed), the only thing standing between me and success will be… marketing. It’s my favourite challenge (not).
As for what I write about? Well, here’s the shortlist: Breasts, Female challenges, Big breasts (yep, again), Taboos and Fitness and mental health. Have I had any viral articles? Depends on who you ask. I think so, but others might disagree — it’s all about where you draw the line on “viral,” right? Honestly, writing on Medium has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I stumbled upon the site back in 2019, but I was too scared to dive in at first.

If I could rewind, I’d tell my past self to just start already. But hey, no use beating myself up over it — I’m here now, and I’m not going anywhere. I did think I’d be in a better spot on the platform by now, especially earnings-wise. I’m scraping into the top 10% of earners every month, which is decent, but I’ve got bigger plans. Doubling that number? Yeah, that’s next on my list. Time to level up my work ethic, I guess.
Still, I’m not going to be too hard on myself. Things will fall into place when they’re meant to — just gotta keep putting in the work and trust the process.
The Bottom Line
At the end of the day, my journey isn’t about chasing perfection — it’s about owning my story, flaws and all. Life is messy, unpredictable, and far from linear, but that’s what makes it mine. I’m learning to embrace the detours, trust the hustle, and appreciate the little wins along the way.
Whether I’m building a side hustle, balancing a paycheck with peace of mind, or writing about things people are too shy to talk about, this is me — unfiltered, unapologetic, and still figuring it out. And that’s the beauty of it: there’s no finish line, just the next step.
